Montréal, January 19, 2016 – Over 200 violinists have applied to take part in the next edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM), up 70% from last year’s edition (Voice 2015) and the previous Violin edition in 2013. A total of 206 applications were submitted by 125 women and 81 men, with an average age of 23 years.

Montreal, May 30, 2015 — The semi-finals of the Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) came to a close tonight as the international jury selected six finalists. Following the QuarterFinal round in which 23 competitors from 9 countries competed at Salle Bourgie between May 25 and 27, twelve semi-finalists took the same stage on May 29 and 30.

Montreal, May 19, 2015 – Less than a week before it begins, the Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) announces the webcasting of most of its activities and welcomes a new jury member and a new competitor. And, to kick-off the Competition, which will run from May 25 to June 5, everyone is invited to sing along—adults and children alike— in a free opening event that will take place in Bourgie Hall on May 24.
