Montréal, April 19, 2021 - With a week to go before the Competition, there's excitement is in the air! - The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) unveiled the order of performance for the semi-final recitals this morning. For the 26 participating pianists, their scheduled performance time represents THE moment when the CMIM audience can finally bear witness to the extent of the work they have invested in their art over the years.

The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) will give out a record amount in prizes and awards during its next piano edition, presented online, free of charge, from April 26 to May 14.

March 18^th 2021 - Canadian composer John Burge will be on the program at the 19th edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal. All competitors taking part in the 2021 Piano edition must prepare to perform three of the Canadian composer’s Twenty-four Preludes as part of the final round.

Montréal, March 2, 2021 - The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is proud to announce the addition of two new members of the jury for its 19^th edition. Pianists Charles Richard-Hamelin (Canada) and Till Fellner (Austria), both laureates of international competitions, will join the other members of the jury announced earlier. On the strength of their international experience, they will bring a perspective that is both youthful and seasoned to the competition this year.

From April 26 to May 14, 2021, 27 of the world’s finest young pianists, hailing from eleven different countries and currently confined in thirteen different cities, will take part in the 19th edition of the CMIM. Montreal, March 17, 2020 – Following the Quebec Premier’s official announcement banning public gatherings of more than 250 people and, more recently, the announcement of the closing of Canadian borders in order to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is obliged to postpone its 19th edition, scheduled for May 4 to 13, 2020.
