Montréal, May 18, 2016 – The 15th edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) kicks off next Monday, May 23, as 24 young violinists from 12 countries take the stage in a major competition. Montreal, March 8, 2016 – 24 violinists, 16 women and 8 men from 13 countries with an average age of 23, have been selected to participate in the 15th Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM). The highest number of candidates are from the Unites States (7) and South Korea (6), followed by Japan (3) and France (2).

Following the QuarterFinal round in which 23 competitors from 9 countries competed at Salle Bourgie between May 25 and 27, twelve semi-finalists took the same stage on May 29 and 30.

Montreal, May 27, 2015 — The Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) started on a lyrical note on Monday, May 25, as 24 young singers from nine countries were ready to take the stage at Bourgie Hall. Between May 25 and May 27, each competitor performed in a 25 to 30-minute recital, featuring the most beautiful pages of the repertoire. After a last-minute withdrawal, the international jury has selected 12 semi-finalists among 23 competitors.

Montreal, May 24, 2015 — Hundreds of singers of all ages met together at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Bourgie Hall to kick off the MIMC.
