Montréal, Saturday, May 28, 2016 – The semifinals of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) came to a close tonight as the international jury selected six violinists from five countries. Each finalist will perform one of the great concertos of the repertoire at the Maison symphonique on May 30 and 31, with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) conducted by Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero. Montréal, Sunday, May 22, 2016 – Following a random draw earlier today, the Competition officials reveal the order of appearance and detailed schedule for the 23 violinists (down from 24 after a  last-minute withdrawal from German candidate Albrecht Menzel) participating in the quarter-final round at Bourgie Hall.

Montréal, May 18, 2016 – The 15th edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) kicks off next Monday, May 23, as 24 young violinists from 12 countries take the stage in a major competition. The order of appearance will be determined by random draw and announced on Sunday, May 22.

Montreal, March 8, 2016 – 24 violinists, 16 women and 8 men from 13 countries with an average age of 23, have been selected to participate in the 15th Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM). The highest number of candidates are from the Unites States (7) and South Korea (6), followed by Japan (3) and France (2).
