Age: 25
Jingjing Xu made her professional debut last season at the Organ Night and Aria Festival in Espoo, Finland, after winning first prize at the Mirjam Helin Competition in Helsinki, where she was the youngest participant. She has also performed recitals for the Canadian Opera Company and Montréal’s Société d’art vocal, and took on the title role in Handel’s Orlando for Opera McGill. With her duo partner, pianist Christopher Knopp, Jingjing participated in the 2023 edition of the Franz Schubert Institut.
Jingjing earned her master’s degree from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music where she was awarded the Wirth Vocal Prize.
