VIOLIN 2019 EDITION
Biography 2019: At the age of 9, Gyehee Kim was the youngest ever Grand Prize winner of the Chamber music Competition in Korea. This was only the start to an incredible career for this gifted violinist, who made her concert debut the following year at the Young Prodigies Concert in Kumho. She has since won many prizes, amongst which the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition (2018), the Munetsugu Violin Competition (2017) as well as a First Prize and two special prizes at the George Enescu International Music Competition (2016). This year, Gyehee moved to Munich to pursue her studies, a change of scenery that she says did much good. She is currently completing her masters at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater with Lena Neudauer. She will be performing on a Joseph and Antonius Gagliano violin made in 1775.
Gyehee Kim is generously sponsored by Denyse Chicoyne & Serge Gouin.
