VOICE 2025
From May 25 to June 6, 2025, the voice took centre stage at the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM). This elite-level competition featured the most beautiful classical voices of the new generation.
COMPETITORS
24 competitors shared the stage in Montreal, vying for the title of laureate and for prizes and grants worth over $160,000. Between 25 and 32 years of age, these exceptional singers hailed from 16 different countries. Discover them all!

INTERNATIONAL JURY
The members of the jury for the Voice 2025 edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) brought invaluable expertise to the competition.
From the balcony of Salle Bourgie and of Maison symphonique de Montréal, the jury attentively listened to all the rounds of the competition, determining the laureates and special prize winners.
The International Jury of Voice 2025 was chaired by singer, pedagogue, and cultural ambassador Adrianne Pieczonka.
The jury members for the Voice 2025 edition: Harolyn Blackwell, Iain Burnside, Étienne Dupuis, Anthony Freud, Roberto Mauro, Christina Scheppelmann, and Delores Ziegler.

Competitors had the opportunity to perform alongside the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) for the Semifinal and Final rounds. For the occasion, the official orchestra of the CMIM was under the direction of Guest Conductor Patrick Summers.

Composed of eight renowned members, the preliminary jury listened to and meticulously evaluated the 348 applications received from 43 different countries. Their dedication, rigour, and expertise were essential to this crucial phase of the selection process.
The CMIM extends its gratitude to the members of the preliminary jury for their diligent work in selecting the competitors for Voice 2025. Thanks to their astute judgment, 24 exceptional singers were chosen and invited to participate in Voice 2025.
juNIOR JURY
This second appearance of a Junior Jury at the CMIM was an exceptional experience for its members, full of discoveries and encounters, providing these students an invaluable opportunity to enrich their educational and professional careers, while sharpening their critical aptitude.
The Junior Jury was comprised of nine voice students from Montreal’s leading music training institutions: the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, and the Faculty of Music at l’Université de Montréal.
At the end of the First Round on May 29, 2025, Fleuranne Brockway was named the winner of the Junior Jury Prize — a value of $1,000, offered in partnership with Richard Tremblay.

cmim ON THE ROAD

THE CMIM BROADENS ITS HORIZONS
For the second year in a row, the CMIM ventured beyond the Competition itself to offer even more people an unprecedented musical experience, with CMIM On the Road.
In collaboration with three presenting partners, the 14 singers who did not advance to the Semifinal of Voice 2025 had the opportunity to perform in Île-des-Sœurs, Farnham, and Hudson, Quebec.
This initiative not only provides an additional showcase for these exceptional artists of the new generation, but also allows music lovers to experience high-level performances in a variety of venues, expanding the musical experience of the CMIM for Quebec’s cultural community.
