VIOLIN 2019 EDITION
Biography 2019: Laureate of 20 international competitions, Vasyl Zatsikha studied with Maxim Vengerov and Oleg Kaskiv at the Yehudi Menuhin International Academy. He won First Prize at the Rahn Musikpreis Competition (Zurich 2018) and Second Prize at the Premio Rodolfo Lipizer in 2017. As a sought-after musician, he was invited to play the Tchaikovski Concerto with the London Symphonic Orchestra at the Tonhalle Maag in Zurich. When he isn’t performing or cooking lavish meals, he can be found playing retro videogames, listening to rock music, or reading. One of his favorite books is The Dark Tower by Stephen King, a series about the good and bad in each of us. “It’s about finding the truth and the beauty within yourself.” This thought is perfectly aligned with his motto: “Kindness will save the world.”
