VIOLIN 2019 EDITION
Biography 2019: Elli Choi is a very busy violinist for someone her age: she has given many concerts and recitals in the United States, Europe and Asia. She has also won numerous prizes in many competitions, like the Monaco World Music Masters Competition in Monte Carlo, and the Grand Prix at the Young Virtuoso Competition in Sofia. Last April, she performed at the Berlin Philarmonie with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin. While Elli loves playing music, she realizes that the most difficult part of being a violinist is the loneliness. Brahms is her favorite composer: “He has a distinctive sound across all his works. His ability to experiment with rhythm is unparalleled.” She performs on a Florian Leonhard copy of a Guadanini violin.
