When the curtain rises
I’m delighted to join the Concours musical international de Montréal community as its spokesperson.
I am passionate about music—it brings us together, transports us, and moves us. I adore the moments when, just before the concert, the lights slowly dim, and the first notes ring out. Time seems to stand still. Just like with theatre, music possesses that rare power to touch us, opening us up to emotion and beauty.
Each performance tells a unique story of passion and dreams. The talent, hard work, and determination of each competitor of this 24th edition demonstrate the dedication required to master their art. Coming from around the world, these young musicians inspire us with their commitment and their tireless pursuit of excellence. The Concours brings them together on one stage, creating powerful moments of shared connection and emotion.
It is a privilege to host a prestigious event such as the Concours musical international de Montréal, whose reputation extends far beyond our borders. As the world turns its attention to our great Montreal competition, I am thrilled to join you in experiencing this remarkable human and musical adventure.
