Virtuosity without borders takes centre stage
From May 27 to June 4, 2026, Montreal resonates with the sounds of the violin for the Concours musical international de Montréal. At the heart of an international rendez-vous celebrating excellence and discovery, the 2026 edition of the Concours brings together the new generation of exceptional artists from 18 countries.
True to its mission, the Concours is much more than a competition. It is a meeting place of exchange and discovery for artists, jury members, teachers, and the public. Through the competition and its complementary events — like Mini Violini and The Concours On the Road — we aim to create memorable, accessible, and deeply human moments that bring music to everyone, and, above all, bring us all closer together through music.
We would like to salute the remarkable commitment of the competitors, whose accomplishments testify to their extraordinary artistry, dedication, and passion. Their presence in Montréal is a source of pride and inspiration for our community.
We extend our warmest thanks to our public and private partners and patrons and collaborators, whose support enables the Concours to flourish in Montréal and around the world.
