Born in Hong Kong, Yungyung Guo is currently studying with Moye Chen at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She has performed at renowned venues such as Sala dei Notari, Sydney Opera House, Verbrugghen Hall, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Shanghai Concert Hall, and Tobin Centre for the Performing Arts in San Antonio. She has given acclaimed concerto performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Umberto Clerici and Benjamin Northey, with the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra under Scott Yoo, and with the Brunensis Virtuosi Orchestra under Gaddiel Dombrowner. As a chamber musician, she has performed with the world-renowned cellist Li-Wei Qin.
Yungyung won the 3rd prize at the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition and the 1st prize at the 2024 Gurwitz International Piano Competition. She was also awarded the Golden Medal with High Distinction from the Manhattan International Music Competition, and 1st prize from the World Piano Teachers Association International Piano Competition.
Yungyung was named the laureate of the “Young Talents” Concerto Competition, where she performed Mozart’s Concerto No. 27 with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Xiao-ou Zhao.
