This season, Theodore Platt joined the ensemble of the Copenhagen Opera House where his roles include Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Lord Cecil in Maria Stuarda, and Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Highlights of his concert season include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg and the release of an online recital with pianist Keval Shah for Deutsche Grammophon STAGE+. Theodore Platt was a recent member of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opera Studio, during which he was awarded the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust fellowship. 

Recent roles include Belcore in L’elisir d’amore at Glyndebourne and the title role in Guillaume Tell at Theater St. Gallen. On the concert stage, Platt gave recitals at Wigmore Hall, the Oxford International Song Festival, and the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki. He returned to “Mozart Week” in Salzburg with the Vienna Philharmonic and maestro Andrés Orozco-Estrada. 

Theodore studied at St John’s College, Cambridge and the Royal College of Music, London, and participated in the Verbier Festival Academy and the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie.
