Age: 26
This season, Sophie Naubert made her European operatic debut at Theater Lübeck in Germany as the title role of Händel’s Semele, while continuing as an artist in residence at the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal. She has performed with esteemed ensembles such as the Orchestre Métropolitain under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Philharmonic Orchestra of Cottbus at the Berlin Konzerthaus, Les Ambassadeurs – La Grande Écurie in France and Belgium, and Arion Orchestre Baroque. Sophie is also featured in the recent recording of the complete mélodies of Massenet for the ATMA Classique label.
Sophie’s recent roles include Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice and Drusilla/Amore in L’incoronazione di Poppea for the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal; Le feu in L’enfant et les sortilèges for Opéra de Montreal; Stella Spotlight in Starmania with Nouvel Opéra Métropolitain; Serpina in La serva padrona with Orchestre Classique de Montréal; and Maria in The Sound of Music for Productions Mélodie, among others.
