Junior Jury Prize
Polish pianist Jakub Kuszlik studied in the class of Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz from 2015 to 2021. He has also participated in masterclasses held by renowned pedagogues such as Arie Vardi, Kevin Kenner, Dang Thai Son, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Tamás Ungár, and Anna Malikova.
In 2021, he was awarded 4th prize and Best Mazurka Prize at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. He is also a laureate of the ‘Top of the World’ International Piano Competition in Tromso (3rd prize, 2019), the Hilton Head International Piano Competition (2nd prize, 2019) and the Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2nd prize, 2016).
He performs extensively in Poland as well as abroad, most recently in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, United States, Canada, Japan, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Lithuania, Estonia, Brazil, Chile, Armenia, and Kosovo.
His orchestra collaborations include the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Clara Schumann Philharmoniker Zwickau-Plauen, Poznań Symphonic Orchestra, Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra.
