Voice 2022 – Aria Division
Soprano
2022: Born in Le Creusot, France, soprano Dania El Zein brings her varied stage experience to Voice 2022. Her work in baroque repertoire has meant collaborations with specialist groups like the Orchestre Opera Fuoco and Ensemble le Capriccio Français, and she has brought Handel’s Serse as far as Beijing.
She balances the baroque with operatic roles in Korngold’s Die tote Stadt, Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment, and Offenbach’s obscure and witty one-acts, A Husband at the Door and Mr. Cauliflower Will Be At Home On…
El Zein arrives in Montreal as a semi-finalist of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and a prize winner of both the Concours International de Chant baroque de Froville and the Concours International de la Mélodie de Toulouse.
