Baritone

 

2022: When he performs in recital of songs, Stockholm-born Arvid Fagerfjäll aims to make his audience feel as passionately about them as he does. The Swedish baritone comes to the Concours with international experience in art song competitions. He has competed in Denmark and Germany, and won first prize at the International Vocal Competition in the Netherlands. In 2020 he received the Larsén-Todsen Foundation scholarship, named for the late Swedish Wagnerian soprano Nanny Larsén-Todsen.

Based in Germany, Arvid Fagerfjäll sings roles in The Barber of Seville, Die Fledermaus, and more on stages in Leipzig and Hannover. This season, he made his debut at Theater Aachen in Philip Glass’ La Belle et la Bête.
