Voice 2022 – Art Song Division
soprano
2022: Born in Australia and based in Munich, soprano Alexandra Flood is plainly passionate about her craft. Since her 2014 debut at the Salzburg Festival, Alexandra Flood’s lyric coloratura instrument has stretched from Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment to Bernstein’s West Side Story.
Alexandra Flood rounds out her dramatic palette with concert and recital work. She loves a good Liederabend, judging from her rich history of recital work in Australia, Norway, and Venice’s iconic Teatro la Fenice.
She was a 2019 Stern Fellow at SongFest in Los Angeles, where she also performed works by Schubert and Jake Heggie. In 2020 she was awarded the Joan Sutherland & Richard Bonynge Foundation Bel Canto Award in Sydney, Australia.
