Age: 31
Born in Mariupol, Ihor Mostovoi studied theatre and popular song in Ukraine before training in opera at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University and École Normale de Musique « Alfred Cortot » de Paris.
He has appeared on the stages of Opéra National de Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra National du Rhin, Opéra de Lyon, Opéra de Bordeaux, Lincoln Center (New York), The Kimmel Center (Philadelphia), and other major venues in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
Ihor is a member of Young Artist Program of Opéra National de Paris where he has appeared in the roles of Le Fauteuil in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges at Opéra Garnier and Frank Maurrant in Weill’s Street Scene. Recently in Montreal, he has given a recital at Salle Bourgie, and performed with Orchestre classique de Montréal, both in concerts featuring the music of Ukraine. Upcoming engagements include Leporello in Don Giovanni in Singapore, a concert tour with Opera for Peace, and an exchange program with the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Program.
