The Competition seeks to discover and support young singers, violinists, and pianists who have distinguished themselves as masters of their art. Since the very first edition, dedicated to voice in 2002, nearly 2,000 candidates have applied to take part in the various editions, and, of these, more than 300 were given the opportunity to perform in Montreal, to the great delight of music lovers. The MIMC is a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions, and of the Alink-Argerich Foundation.

-30-

Source : Montreal International Musical Competition
Isabelle Ligot
Communications Manager
514 845-4108, poste 236
iligot@concoursmontreal.ca

Press relations: Martin Boucher
514 464-6719
martin@bouchercommunications.com

The MIMC announces the twelve semi-finalists and the detailed schedule of the semi-finals (Bourgie Concert Hall, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts).

[2

post-1182","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-non-classe-en
["GET
