Saluted for his \u201cphenomenal technique\u201d<\/p>\n (The Spectator<\/em>), his \u00ab\u00a0sparkling playing resulting in fascinating interpretations\u00a0\u00bb (K\u00f6lner Stadt Anzeiger<\/em>), his \u201csovereign mastery\u201d (Hamburger Abendblatt<\/em>), Mr. Lef\u00e8vre has been guest soloist of great orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, National Symphony, the China Philharmonic, the SWR, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, the Moscow Virtuosi, (\u2026) and has collaborated with renowned conductors such as James Conlon, Charles Dutoit, Christoph Eschenbach, JoAnn Falletta, Claus Peter Flor, Lawrence Foster, Jacek Kaspszyk, Jacques Lacombe, Kent Nagano, Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Vladimir Spivakov and Long Yu.<\/p>\n He has revived the music of Andr\u00e9 Mathieu in concert in New York, Paris, London, Berlin, Shangha\u00ef\u2026 His discography covers a vast repertoire, from John Corigliano\u2019s Piano Concerto, considered to be the reference version by BBC Music Magazine<\/em>, to Chopin\u2019s 24 Preludes<\/em>, where the critic \u201ccelebrates Alain Lef\u00e8vre\u201d, placing him alongside with the recordings of the \u201cillustrious\u201d Alicia de Larrocha, Ivan Moravec and Arthur Rubinstein (Fanfare<\/em>).<\/p>\n Mr. Lef\u00e8vre has won numerous prizes, amongst them a JUNO, an Opus, ten Felix <\/em>(ADISQ) and the AIB Award (London), for \u201cInternational personality of the year – Radio\u201d, saluting his radio program broadcasted on ICI Musique\/Radio-Canada. He is Officer to the Order of Canada, Chevalier of the National Order of Quebec and Chevalier of the Pl\u00e9iade Order.<\/p>\n
