Biography 2018: A native of North Carolina, tenor David Tayloe has made appearances with the Santa Fe Opera, Opera Louisiana, Opera Birmingham, Piedmont Opera Company, the A.J. Fletcher Institute, LSU Opera, and Frost Opera Theater. As a concert singer, he has performed as Obadiah in Elijah<\/em>, the Evangelist in Bach\u2019s St. Matthew Passion<\/em> as well as the tenor soloist in the Magnificat<\/em>, Finzi\u2019s Dies Natalis<\/em>, Handel\u2019s Messiah<\/em>, Haydn\u2019s Die Sch\u00f6pfung<\/em>, Lord Nelson Mass<\/em>, Paukenmesse<\/em> and Theresian Messe<\/em>, Schubert\u2019s Mass in A flat major<\/em>, and Britten\u2019s Serenade<\/em>.<\/p>\n\u00a0David has presented recitals across the United States and Europe, including a tour of Schubert\u2019s Winterreise<\/em>. David was a featured recitalist at the Opera America Center in New York City, with a performance of Winterreise<\/em>. David has collaborated with composers on their original work including Libby Larsen, Ben Moore, Jake Runestad and Thomas Sleeper, including the West Coast premiere of Ben Moore\u2019s Dear Theo<\/em>, the world premiere of A Page Out of Zen<\/em> by Ryan Jesperson, and the world premiere of Thomas Sleeper\u2019s Beatrice Bends for her Blue Ball<\/em>.<\/p>\nDavid Tayloe is generously sponsored by Fondation Lise & Richard Fortin.<\/strong><\/p>\n
