\u00a0<\/p>\n

Known for\u00a0her expressive sensitivity and refined musicality,<\/span>\u00a0Yume\u00a0Zamponi<\/span>\u00a0is building an international reputation\u00a0as a soloist and chamber musician.\u00a0She\u00a0<\/span>began her violin studies with Eloise Hellyer and Paola\u00a0Besutti, later attending the Vecchi Tonelli Conservatory\u00a0in Modena. She furthered her training at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London under\u00a0Lutsia\u00a0Ibragimova,\u00a0and\u00a0is currently studying\u00a0with\u00a0Mihaela Martin at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From\u00a0her entire competition program, Yume is most excited to play\u00a0<\/span>Sakura<\/span><\/i>\u00a0by\u00a0Canadian composer\u00a0Maria Kaneko Millar:\u00a0\u201c<\/span>Sakura<\/span><\/i> (cherry blossom) is a traditional Japanese song, and my grandmother used to sing it to me as a lullaby when I was a baby. When I discovered this Canadian piece, I felt deeply touched and nostalgic\u2014it instantly brought me back to my childhood.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yume won the First Prize of her category at the 2024 Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition, alongside awards for the Best interpretation of Bach and the Best Italian Competitor. While her principal focus lies in solo and chamber repertoire, Yume has also gained valuable orchestral experience as part of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, performing under Daniel Barenboim in some of the world\u2019s most renowned concert halls, including the Berliner Philharmonie, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Salzburg Festival. She has refined her artistry through masterclasses with artists such as Pavel Vernikov, Daniel Barenboim, and Maxim Rysanov, among others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recipient of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben since 2026, Yume plays a Jean Baptise Vuillaume violin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
