Welcoming artists into their homes for the duration of the competition, host families play a key role in the Concours experience in Montréal.
These families make a real difference, providing invaluable guidance and moral support. The hospitality of host families allows musicians to fully devote themselves to their performance, while enjoying the warmth and friendliness of our city.

Warmly welcome your artist by offering a private room and breakfast free of charge for the duration of his or her stay in Montréal. You can also offer additional meals if possible.
Provide your artist with the opportunity to practice at home or help them to locate a rehearsal space near you, from a list of available locations provided by the Concours.
Depending on their needs, help them get to the competition events, whether by car or public transportation. This is a great opportunity to introduce them to Montréal’s public transit system (metro, bus, REM, BIXI) and help them get to know the city during their stay.
Depending on your availability, show your artist some of Montréal and its surroundings, or help them discover the charms, culture, and best-kept secrets of our city.
The pairings between artists and host families will take place in March 2027. You’ll then be able to communicate with your artist, get to know them, and prepare for their arrival in Montréal. Who knows? This meeting could mark the beginning of a lasting friendship. You’ll be able to follow the progress of their career and celebrate their successes long after the competition is over.
