The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is a world-renowned international gathering that brings together in Montréal, on a rotating basis, the best artists of the new generation in the disciplines of piano, violin, and voice. 

The CMIM is independent of any political ideology or manifestation. 

True to its values of openness to the world, fairness, and integrity, the CMIM is committed to offering all competitors, regardless of their country of origin, equal opportunities to participate, excel, and distinguish themselves. 

The CMIM offers a unifying framework based on respect and free from geopolitical tensions, ensuring that competitors can compete in a fraternal spirit that transcends borders. 

The CMIM is faithful to the customs of the music community and aligns itself with the guidelines of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC), of which it is a member, in refusing to reduce a musician to his or her nationality alone. It recognizes each participant as a world-citizen and independent artist in his or her own right.
