Will you be our next Grand Laureate? 

Pianists of the new generation, we want to hear from you! Applications are now open for the Piano 2027 edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal. Now celebrating its 25^th edition, the Concours propels young artists onto the most prestigious stages. 

Our laureates rank among the most internationally renowned artists today: Beatrice Rana, Charles Richard-Hamelin, and Jaeden Izik-Dzurko are among just a few who enjoy brilliant careers all over the world – and for whom it all began in Montréal. 

Presented before an audience in the hall and streamed live online, the various rounds will take place in some of Montréal’s most magnificent venues: Bourgie Hall and the Maison symphonique. You will be heard by key figures in the international music scene. And the exceptional quality videos streamed online become invaluable assets, giving your performances in Montréal an even greater reach. 

This year, over $200,000 will be awarded in prizes and grants, including cash prizes, prestigious performing engagements, the Steinway Recording Prize, and mentorship. 

Six finalists will perform with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Concours’ official orchestra, led by Guest Conductor Gergely Madaras — a unique opportunity to collaborate with one of the world’s most renowned orchestras.
