The twelve semifinalists will offer a recital with piano of 55 to 60 minutes. The repertoire for the Semifinal round must consist of a minimum of three (3) works, including a complete sonata by Bartók, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Enescu, Fauré, Franck, Janáček, Prokofiev, Ravel, Schnittke, Schumann, Schubert, or R. Strauss. Additionally, the semifinalists must perform the imposed Canadian work, L’Inconnu.e bouleversant.e, by the Canadian-American composer Luna Pearl Woolf.
