Myer

Spencer Myer is recipient of a number of first prizes, including those from the UNISA International Piano Competition in Pretoria, South Africa (2004), the Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition (2002), the Artists International New York Debut Auditions (2003) and the Five Towns Music and Arts Foundation Competition (2003). He has given performances in the United States, Canada and Europe, some of which have been broadcast on radio. In the summer of 2000 he took an advanced course in vocal accompaniment with the renowned Warren Jones and Marilyn Horne. He is working on his doctorate at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he is a student of Christina Dahl. In 2005 he will tour South Africa as winner of the UNISA Competition.
