Serhiy Salov made his solo debut at the age of eleven, performing the Grieg Concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. He has won several first prizes, including at the Grotrian-Steinweg Competition in Braunschweig in 1995, the Concours musical de France in Paris in 1998, the Beethoven Society Competition in London in 2001, and the Épinal International Piano Competition in 2001. Also that year he won third prize at the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition in Paris. Serhiy Salov is currently in his third year of advanced studies at the Guildhall School of Music (London), where he studies with Joan Havill. He has given more than fifty recitals in Ukraine, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Belgium and Japan.
