Tenor Petr Nekoranec pursued classical vocal studies at the Pardubice Conservatory in the class of Jarmila Chaloupková. He also studied under the tutelage of renowned Italian tenor Antonio Carangelo and famous soprano Diana Soviero.
Since September 2014, he has been a member of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and its Opera Studio, where he has appeared in several roles, in cluding the title role of Rossini’s Le comte Ory and Britten‘s Albert Herring. In 2016, he joined the Me- tropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Deve lop ment Program in New York. Petr is the winner of the 2017 Francesco Viñas International Competition, where he also received an award from the legen dary Placido Domingo. In 2014, he won First Prize at the International Singing Competi tion named after the famous Bulgarian-Austrian soprano Ljuba We litsch, Second Grand Prix at Concours international de chant de Toulouse, and First Prize for lieder at the International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary.
