Fourth Prize
Nicolas Koeckert comes from a family of violinists. After studies with Olga Voitova he entered the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg at the age of sixteen; here he studied with Grigori Zhislin. Since 1998 he has been studying with Zakhar Bron in Köln and has been concertizing extensively. In May of 2001 he won first prize in the Novossibirsk International Competition, and in June of 2002 landed a prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition.
