Mihail Mihaylov was born in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulga ria. After studying the violin, he began singing lessons at the age of sixteen. He graduated from the Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy in Sofia, where he studied with Ivanka Ninova. Mihail Mihaylov made his opera début in the part of Count Almaviva in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, which led to various roles and performances in most of the Bulgarian opera houses as well as at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet.
Mihail has performed at Royal Festival Hall, London (UK), the Kremlin in Moscow (Russia), Gasteig (Mu nich, Germany), Auditorio Nacional de Música (Ma drid, Spain), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelo na, Spain), Théâtre de Vevey (Switzerland), Osaka Festival Hall (Japan) and Teatro del Giglio (Lucca, Italy).
In 2015, Mihail won the Grand Prize at the Roman siada International Song Competition (Moscow, Russia) and Second Prize at the 4th Richard Strauss International Chamber Music Competition (Sofia, Bulgaria).
