Mélanie
Boisvert

Initially trained as a pianist, Mélanie Boisvert took up the study of singing in 1996 under Tina Torlone at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She performed many roles on various stages before pursuing further training with Barbara Schlick in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik of Cologne. In 2000, the 100^th birthday of composer Kurt Weill, Mélanie Boisvert won the award of that name at the Bergheim Singing Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform at the Beethoven International Festival in Bonn with the WDR Symphony Orchestra.
