Tenor Mario Bahg began his studies at the Korea National University of Arts and pursued a Master’s degree at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts under Snezana Stamenkovic in 2016. Early on, he was heard as a soloist, including as Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In 2017, he won First Prize at the Queen Sonja International Music Competition (Norway) and the Concorso Internazionale per Cantanti Lirici (Alcamo, Italy), and Second Prize at both the Wilhelm Stenhammar International Music Competition (Sweden) and the 8th DEBUT European Opera Singing Competition (Germany).
