Podolak

Karoline Podolak’s recent opera roles include Violetta in La traviata for the National Opera and Ballet of Bulgaria, Fire/​Princess/​Nightingale in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges for Opéra de Montréal, Adele in Die Fledermaus for Edmonton Opera and Silesian Opera House in Poland, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte for the Daegu Opera House, and Vixen in The Cunning Little Vixen for the Canadian Opera Company. She has also performed a recital at Opéra National de Bordeaux and Mozart’s Requiem with Sing The North (Victoria, B.C.). This season, Karoline also performs Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly for Houston Grand Opera and Markopoulos’ Liturgy of Orpheus in Athens. 

A former a member of Opéra de Montréal’s Atelier lyrique, Karoline is a current a member of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio. She has been a Jeune Ambassadeur Lyrique of Théâtre Lyrichorégra 20 (2021−24) and a Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation grant recipient. Karoline holds a master’s degree from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Poland.
