Sakharova

Julia Sakharova won first prize in the 47^th Olga Koussevitzky Competition for Strings and second prize in the Sorantin Young Artists Competition, both in 2002. She studies with Milan Vitek at the Oberlin School of Music, where she is concert master of the orchestra. In addition, she is a member of the Erato Quartet, which won the Coleman-Barstow Award for Strings in 2001. Julia Sakharova made her professional debut with the Moldavian Symphony Orchestra when she was just eight years old. She has given concerts in Russia, Europe, Japan and the United States, and has attended numerous festivals.
