Sixth Prize
During the 2000 – 2001 season, John Matz joined the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, a training workshop for young singers of New York’s Metropolitan Opera. He made his stage debut in April 2001 on the occasion of a gala conducted by James Levine. Following that, he sang with the Palm Beach Symphony and sang the role of Flavio (Bellini’s Norma) at the Palm Beach Opera.
