Diana Galvydyte received her first lessons at the age of six from her mother, also a violinist. At nine she played for the first time with a chamber orchestra, won her first international competition and was heard for the first time on Lithuanian radio. Diana Galvydyte has won prizes in twelve international competitions. Following her remarkable showing at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in 2000, she was invited to study with Natalia Boyarskaya at the Menuhin School.
