Zusko

Darrett Zusko has studied with some of the leading names in the field, including Barry Snyder, Jerome Lowenthal, Anton Kuerti, Daniel Shapiro, Marek Jablonski and Ronald Turini (the latter a student of the legendary Vladimir Horowitz). He won the grand prize at the Canadian Music Competition International Stepping Stone in 2002, third prize at the International Russian Music Competition in California the same year, first prize at the Oberlin International Piano Competition in 2001 and first prize at the 20^th Bartók-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition. He took part in the tribute to Harry Somers by performing this composer’s last work, Nothing Too Serious, in 1999. He is finishing his bachelor’s degree at the Juilliard School of Music with Julian Martin.
