Daesan
No

Daesan No began his university education at Hanyang University in Seoul, his hometown, after which he pursued his training at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, where he studied under Louis Quilico and Bill Schumann. Last summer, Daesan No sang the title role in the production of Verdi’s Falstaff, conducted by Seiji Ozawa, at the Tanglewood Festival. He has also recently performed, in both concert and opera, in New York, Washington, Toronto, Honolulu, London and Seoul. Daesan No is the recipient of numerous awards, most notably at the 1999 edition of the Cardiff Singer of the World
Competition.
