In addition to beginning violin studies at the age of five, he also took piano lessons and won First Prize at a competition for young pianists in Taiwan at age six. He has performed as a soloist with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre de chambre de Toulouse. He has given recitals in Taiwan, France and Switzerland. In 2008, he recorded the complete sonatas for solo violin by Eugène Ysaÿe.
