The competitions and festivals in which Chantal Dionne has distinguished herself include the Jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques 2003, the Montréal International Musical Competition in 2002, and the Canadian Music Competition. She has taken part in numerous opera workshop productions, singing the roles of the Countess in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone and Mother Marie of the Incarnation in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. She has been highly successful in her portrayal of Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in the Rome Festival and at the Summer Opera Lyric Theatre in Toronto. Chantal Dionne has been in the world premieres of two operas, Des hommes inutiles by Francis Caron and Traversées by Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey.
