Seungmin Shin started playing piano at the age of 4, studying in Yewon with Dahye Choi. She is currently studying at Seoul National University with Aviram Reichert. Most recently, she performed a recital in Kumho Art Hall, performing Chopin Études, Op.10. 

She has participated in international competitions, winning 1st prize at Tel-Hai Piano Master Classes concerto audition (Israel), 2nd prize in Yamaha USASU young artists international senior piano competition (USA), 2nd prize in Kirov international music competition, 1st prize in Dinu Lipatti international piano competition, and was a semi-finalist in the Cleveland international competition for young artists. In Korea, she won 2nd prize in the Busan MBC music competition, 3rd prize in the KBS Hanjeon music competition, 1st prize in the Young Chang music competition, and 1st prize in the Eumyeon music competition.
