This season, Julia Muzychenko-Greenhalgh made her debut at Teatro Maggio Fiorentino as Violetta in La Traviata and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi. She also returned to Grand Opéra d’Avignon and Opéra National du Rhin as Violetta, a role she has also previously performed at Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Verdi Festival in Busseto.
Julia recently made her debut at Deutsche Oper Berlin as Gilda in Rigoletto, and reprised the role of Oksana in The Night Before Christmas Eve at Oper Frankfurt. She debuted as the title role in The Golden Cockerel at Komische Oper Berlin, performed Volkhova (Sadko) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and returned to Opéra National de Montpellier as Musetta in La bohème. Julia was a member of the young ensemble at the Dresden Semperoper, where her roles included Musetta and Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann. In concert, Julia has appeared with Belgian National Orchestra, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, and in recital with pianist Helmut Deutsch at the Konzerthaus Wien and Salle Claude-Champagne in Montreal.
Julia Muzychenko-Greenhalgh completed her training at the Bolshoi Theatre’s Young Artist Program and Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy. She earned a master’s degree in vocal performance from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and Berlin Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler.
