A prestigious jury
The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is proud to announce the addition of two new members of the jury for its 19th edition.
Pianists Charles Richard-Hamelin (Canada) and Till Fellner (Austria), both laureates of international competitions, will join the other members of the jury announced earlier. On the strength of their international experience, they will bring a perspective that is both youthful and seasoned to the competition this year.

For the very first time at the CMIM, a competitor is making the big leap from the stage to the judges’ stand. After successfully making his way through the rounds to the winners’ podium at the CMIM in 2014, Charles Richard-Hamelin is now joining the jury and doing his part to motivate emerging pianists.
“I have very fond memories of my time at the CMIM in 2014 and I’m delighted to be joining the jury for this exceptional edition of the competition. At a difficult time when we must maintain our distance from one another, I am happy to be collaborating on this CMIM initiative in which our virtual efforts will serve the music.” – Charles Richard-Hamelin
Under the chairmanship of Zarin Mehta, the jury for the 19th edition of the CMIM will bring together nine members of renown this year: Arnaldo Cohen (United States), Martin Engstroem (Sweden), Till Fellner (Austria), Mari Kodama (Japan), Hélène Mercier (Canada), Costa Pilavachi (Canada), Charles Richard-Hamelin (Canada), Rena Shereshevskaya (Russia) et Susan Wadsworth (United States).
Together, on three continents, this prestigious jury will listen to and evaluate the efforts of 27 competitors recorded in 15 cities around the world.
