Canadian compulsory work

Each year, the Canadian compulsory work, at 5 minutes in duration, is commissioned by the MIMC from a Canadian composer. Announced a few weeks before the beginning of the Competition, the work is performed during the Quarter Final round by the candidates, who receive the score one month prior to the event.
