The Montreal International Musical Competition is seeking
families to host and provide lodging for the candidates selected to take part in
the various rounds of the competition. The role of a host family mainly consists
of: greeting the candidate at the airport, offering free lodging and breakfast,
and occasionally driving the candidate to rehearsals and various rounds. However,
the role of a host family may go beyond these concerns. Host families ensure
that the musician’s stay is as pleasurable as possible, making life a little
easier for the candidate. Owning a piano is an asset!
Host families benefit from a number of advantages: attending the candidates’
information meeting, the drawing for the performance order in the quarter
finals, and free admission to all rounds of the competition.
